    1. The Tagaere and Taromenane people are the last people in voluntary isolation in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Due to extractivism and inaction by authorities they are at the brink of disappearance as a people.

    We have done EVERYTHING in our power to protect our lands. We have kicked out oil companies. We have fought arbitrary governments And for that, we have been persecuted... tortured. Yet We are the ones to face the worst effects of climate change.

    Lo que los políticos no te dicen en medio de la crisis energética: la minería agravará la sequía y destruirá las fuentes hídricas que nos proveen agua y de las que depende nuestra generación energética. Y todo eso, sumado a la enorme cantidad de energía que consumen las mineras.
