Commercial surrogacy is exploitative, cruel & treats women like brood mares. UK ‘altruistic’ model is no better. Large sums of money changing hands, babies often not seeing their mothers again, women left with regret & birth injuries. Stop surrogacy now.

Two men have been arrested and charged with murdering and sexually assaulting the little boy they planned to adopt. One man was a high school teacher. Baby Preston was 13 months old. Failed by us all, may he rest in peace.

A man who abused his surrogate born twin daughters was sentenced to 22 years in prison. When we tell people surrogacy is unsafe, we mean it. It is child trafficking. And it must end.

We’ve no idea who these people are, but this is your regular reminder that surrogacy is cruel to the child and profoundly exploitative. Gestational surrogacy is 3x higher risk for severe pregnancy complications. The rich renting poorer women’s wombs is not ok.

We are very sorry for anyone who cannot have their own children due to medical issues. But surrogacy is not acceptable. At birth, a baby wants and needs their birth mother: they bond in utero. Women aren’t incubators. Surrogacy is unethical. @selenagomez

We are dismayed to see the creation of the first embryo derived from human skin. Nothing good can come of this technology for women or children. We urge @DHSCgovuk to ban development or imports of in-vitro derived gametes to the UK. Act now, before it is too late.
