I discussed the situation in the #MiddleEast with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa bin Salman al-Khalifa, and the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq. On behalf of Switzerland, I expressed our solidarity and offered our support for possible mediation efforts.

#Switzerland calls for full respect of international law, including the UN Charter and #IHL. All parties must protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, de-escalate immediately and return to diplomacy.
