- Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities and Ukraine is bombing the bombers that are bombing Ukrainian cities, and the news is trying to make this sound equivalent.
- Mocking a nation facing genocide is the lowest of the low.
- In all occupied areas, Russia has banned Ukrainian language, culture and identity. A policy of elimination. This is always what Russia's invasion was about.
- I wonder what most Westerners understand of Russia’s war. As Yale Historian Timothy Snyder noted, it’s rare that a country pre-announce that its intention is to commit genocide—but Russia did just that. And it’s carrying this out now.
- I don’t think most people understand that Russia is bombing apartments and homes of civilians daily. Every single day they are murdering people in their homes. This truly is a war against civilians.
- Really powerful Americans including Musk advocating to let Russia occupy and kill Ukrainians — using this platform to amplify the message. Punching down on people who are being bombed, tortured and raped is the ultimate low.
- Russian forces are raping children, beheading and castrating men, bombing civilians, stealing children and filling women’s bodies with sealant after raping them so that they can never bear children. Don’t tell me they don’t know they’re the baddies. They know.
- I don’t think people realize the extent to which Russians have dehumanized Ukrainians. Last week a Russian drone operator targeted a one year old baby in Kherson region. There is an entire curriculum for this hate. It’s taught. I don’t know how a society comes back from this.
- Russia prepared “execution lists" targeting teachers, journalists etc. to bring the population to heel. In all Russian occupied territories there are torture & detention facilities where people disappear. Kremlin orders to kill off civil society are being fulfilled.
- India has never condemned Russia’s invasion and has taken the opportunity to buy record amounts of discounted Russian oil.
- A goal of Russian propaganda is to cause confusion. I have zero confusion. They have invaded, raped, murdered, stolen children, bombed, poisoned land, destroyed cities and towns. They have to be stopped. Ukraine isn’t the first place they’ve done this to. It must be the last.
- Russia got away with its crimes in Chechnya. We cannot let this happen again in Ukraine.
