A thread. We don’t play about @CoriBush. We got her back yesterday, today, tomorrow and every day after that. She’s not alone and has her people with her.

I suggest that Black folks stand back and stand by while these white folks throw a tantrum in DC. America needs to face it’s real problem. Don’t go out there. This is NOT our fight.

#SandyHook was 5 years ago today. Thinking of those 20 babies and the 6 adults who died trying to protect them. Thinking of all the people who've suffered from gun violence since then.

I can’t sit back silently as a Black woman and watch the attacks on @IlhanMN. I am sick and tired of watching Black and Brown women be used as scapegoats for white nationalism. Enough is a DAMN-NOUGH. We must all speak up and speak out.

Dear White Woman: You are not my ally if you get more upset w/ me than your own ppl when I bring up the 53% of voting white women who elected Trump. Until we see a clear change in this voting pattern, I’m gonna keep bringing it up. Remember, Roy Moore in Alabama was after Trump.

It’s so interesting that many members of Congress and organizations would spend days, weeks sometimes months going after Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib & other progressive leaders for basically nothing and are silent about Marjorie Greene’s blatant & direct racism & antisemitism.

.@CoriBush has every right to be her full and unapologetic self. She’s in Congress to fight for the people of St. Louis and all of us by extension. She went to fight for BLACK people. She deserves to feel safe in her community and in the Capitol.

I am tired of seeing Black women targeted & having to look behind our backs to protect ourselves, our colleagues and our families from white people who can’t fathom to see us in our rightful place - positions of power.

Marjorie Taylor Greene exposed the hypocrisy amongst some of these folks. It was never really about fighting against racism & antisemitism for them - it was about silencing progressive, powerful Black voices. Could not be clearer.

We are still here and will always be on the frontlines fighting the bigotry of people like Marjorie Taylor Greene who has actual influence over people’s lives as a member of Congress. Our fight against racism and bigotry is unconditional - we fight for all of us.

Black folks are suffering from real live PTSD. We are watching our ppl be brutalized similar to when our ancestors were enslaved watching beatings and lynchings. Not to mention the microagressions we have to deal w/ in our daily lives. If you care abt us, stand up or shut up!
