Thrilled to share our back-to-back two Nature @Nature papers on the unexpected role of type 2 immunity against cancer. We found that interleukin 4 (Fc–IL-4), a type 2 cytokine, reinvigorates exhausted T cells to potentiate anticancer immunotherapy w/ @YugangGUO2 @RongFan8(1/11)

Our lab's new paper (rdcu.be/cCL0H) is now out at @natBME. We discovered that cancer cells lower their cortical stiffness, which impedes T cell-mediated cytotoxicity by decreasing T cell force at the immune synapse (doi.org/10.1038/s41551…) (1/)

Our lab's new paper (nature.com/articles/s4158…) is now out at @NatureBiotech. We discovered that IL-10-expressing CAR T cells resist T cell dysfunction and mediate durable clearance of solid tumors and metastases (rdcu.be/duW2h) (1/)

Our lab’s latest paper is now published in @ScienceAdvances! We developed a strategy that keeps therapeutic proteins inactive outside the tumor. The proteins only "switch on" in the tumor, thus protecting healthy tissues. (1/9) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Hot off the press! Are you wondering how mechanics govern immune responses in the context of immunotherapy and vaccines? A nice review/perspective by my students, Lucia Bonati, Weilin Li @HatarakuTSaibou, together with the @GoetzJacky group!

Honored to receive the CRI CLIP grant to develop a new adoptive T cell transfer therapy. This is actually the second time I am funded by CRI. The last time was a CRI Postdoc Fellowship. Really grateful! Thanks @CancerResearch
