As a teacher, I HONESTLY don’t think there is anything better than when you read a story and you see a field of faces caught up in your every word. I had that today reading to EYFS up to year 6. Been a tough week and reminded me why I am a teacher #WorldBookDay2024

Probably going to get a LOT of hate, but is anyone DEEPLY uncomfortable promoting the World Cup in school when it is in a country that has an appalling human rights record, would jails and even kill LGBTQ residents, and arrest and jail a women because she has been raped?

You’re 13. You come on your period. You don’t know what to do but know you need to leave class. School have locked toilets and don’t allow children to use in lesson times. Read that back and come at me why your policy is ok.

The storm whispered: I bring you Covid-19. Primary school teachers: It’s ok, we have wet paper towels.

If you are are a teacher saying you can’t afford to strike, I agree. I also know my dad had 3 kids (me one of them) and went out to strike so you could have your PPA. Imagine not having PPA. He lost wages for that. And you now Benefit as a teacher.

When life is hard I remember I went back to work after 4 weeks when my husband died. I didn’t have lunch as would have to drive to my babies nursery to breast feed. I raised 3 kids alone. I am enough as a mere teacher. Family first.

Things I couldn’t do without a TA. 1) Interventions. 2) Support for children who need it in a class of 31. 3) Going to the toilet. 4) Having a friend in class. 5) A warm cup of tea when I come back from break duty. 6) Navigating drama so I can teach. TAs rock 🤘
