33 King Street RENT STRIKE started today! Hundreds of tenants are withholding rent from their landlord Dream, who has been increasing rents 3 times higher than rent control. Even during the pandemic rent freeze in 2021, Dream increased rents by 3% in the building

TENANTS WIN INTERIM ORDER FOR RELIEF! LTB orders Barney River to fix ALL issues in people’s homes! This is a massive win for tenants whose homes have been in a state of disrepair for YEARS. This order came from the LTB, but it’s because 300+ tenants organized together✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼

Good news from 1440-1442 Lawrence! Last year Barney River didn’t tell any tenant union members about an AGI hearing, and the LTB refused to hear from us about it. Today we took them to divisional court and WON! Our fight continues on the streets, in our homes & in the courts!
