- Coach K's farewell tour gave Jon Scheyer a year to prepare. He hired the first GM in CBB. He scouted and hired his own staff. He recruited his players and built off the Duke brand. That was one way to do a passing of the torch. Then there's the other way....
- Prior to turning the page to the Elite 8, hats off to Roy and Luke Maye. Turned a fringe top 100 player into a champion and all-conference guy. Good kid who is a throwback to a forgotten age of college hoops. Best of luck to him in the future.
- End of the day this is 1999 levels of disappointment. Duke folded when it mattered most. No way to sugarcoat it. That said, Cooper Flagg was an absolute delight to watch this season. Same with Kon. The whole team was great but will be remembered only as a great "what if"
- 31-3 overall. No.1 overall seed?
- No tear for Proctor. Bruised. Return time depends on pain. Good news for Duke
- The officiating was deplorable. Those three should be met in the tunnel and removed from the tournament roster.
