    Hours into Saturday's Palestinian Land Day rally, peaceful thus far, Toronto police stopped it, deployed over 100 officers, rode horses through the crowd knocking people over, injured several, and arrested six. Here we'll share some of what happened, and an article is coming.đź§µ

    Dozens of people have shut the rail line at Osler St. and Pelham Ave. in Toronto in solidarity with Palestine. They are calling on the Canadian government to immediately impose a full two-way arms embargo on Israel as its attacks on Gaza continue. đź“·Photo by Ian Willms

    Outside a Yorkville restaurant where Deputy Prime Minster @cafreeland and MP @YaaraSaks are scheduled to hold a dinner for supporters, protestors are standing at entrances and singing. A dozen or so cops on scene, at least six cruisers.

    NOW: Eighty people have blocked the entrances to TTM Technologies in Scarborough. This plant makes circuit boards for Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems, slated for use in F-15 and F-16 fighter jets and other equipment used to attack Gaza. Coverage in collab with @thehoser

    The day after @MayorOliviaChow denounced the rally that passed by Mount Sinai Hospital as antisemitic, the mayor said on CBC Metro Morning: “I wasn’t there. I haven’t seen a police report on that event. Right now, there seems to be different interpretations.” However... 🧵

    We have updated this article to add that the University Ave. entrance to Mount Sinai Hospital closes on weekdays at 6 p.m., which is approximately two hours before the "Hands Off Rafah" rally passed by and when a group of people climbed on that entrance's awning.

    Pro-Palestine protestors are now occupying Liberal MP Arif Virani's constituency office in Toronto. A crowd is growing outside. Virani has not called for a ceasefire.
