    The origins of the medical licensing exam in the U.S. date back to the 19th century. Licensing exams originated as state-developed assessments. A direct line can be traced from these exams to #NBMEParts (1916), #FLEX (1968) and to the current #USMLE program. #MedTwitter #histmed

    #USMLE Step 1 score reporting will transition to pass/fail outcomes for administrations on or after January 26, 2022. Step 1 exams administered before Jan. 26 will include a three-digit numeric score. More information is available here bit.ly/3duZkQe #MedTwitter #MedEd

    The USMLE Management Committee will review the passing standard for Step 1 at its Dec. 2024 meeting. If it's determined that a change is appropriate, the new passing standard will become effective for all examinees who take Step 1 on or after Jan. 1, 2025. bit.ly/3YyoPqi

    The #USMLE Management Committee will review the passing standard for Step 2 CK in June 2025. If it's determined that a change is appropriate, the new passing standard will become effective for all examinees who take Step 2 CK on or after July 1, 2025. bit.ly/3YEZUSJ
