    If I could give one award in football, it would be to all the unpaid volunteers at Non-League, grassroots & youth clubs. These people give up their spare time but never get the praise they deserve. So we should all say a big THANK YOU to our volunteers - the true soul of football

    People are saying that "The FA Cup has lost it's magic" No it hasn't It may have lost it's magic for armchair fans of Premier League clubs But for supporters of clubs outside the Premier League, the FA Cup is still magical I am ABSOLUTELY BUZZING for the FA Cup on Saturday

    The situation at Bury is tragic. If they go bust, it will be a sign of things to come. It could be your club next. The rich clubs are getting richer. The smaller clubs are getting left behind. There needs to be a bigger allocation of TV money filtering down into the lower leagues

    The biggest football story today is at Blackpool FC where long-suffering fans finally have their club back & are returning to see their team play This proves once again that supporters are the real owners of football clubs with their loyalty passed down through the generations

    I read somewhere that... "THE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS TOMORROW" It doesn't The Football League & the FA Cup started last Saturday Several leagues in the Non-League Pyramid started two weeks ago Football is not just about the Premier League

    Lots of comments today about "Non-League pitches" All I will say is that Non-League clubs are run by unpaid volunteers who give up their spare time to look after the pitches & other facilities for the benefit of the local community. Our great Non-League volunteers deserve praise
