A huge well done to our highways team! Over the last 24hrs we have used1k tonnes of salt, on 25 lorries with 100 operators on 12 hr shifts . Don't worry we have plenty of salt to see us through. Today we are working on Community link roads and then back onto priority roads.

Thank you to all those who stayed away. The same can’t be said for those who didn’t, despite our warnings and passed the road closed signs, and in some cases verbally abused our workforce and to the few who caused the emergency services to attend incidents again today. Sad times.
⛔️ No vehicular access to beaches at: • Lulworth (for Durdle Door) • West Bexington Approach roads CLOSED on grounds of public safety. Do not park obstructively or illegally to get round these temporary restrictions. ⚠️ Please do not come to these beaches.

Be sure to give our gritting crews a big wave when you see them go by, this shift of men (and lady) have been hard at it relentlessly for the past 9 hours. It has been a labour of LOVE just for you.

Do you and your 18 followers not reside here then?

We are closing ⛔ the access roads to Durdle Door near #Lulworth. The number of cars in the car park has reached a level where we have safety concerns for people using these narrow rural roads. Please #ThinkTwice about where you are planning to enjoy the ☀️ sunshine.

The Priority roads has had a surface treatment of salt on them several times tonight, but remember, Salt isn't a magic solution, you still need to take extreme care whilst we get the roads Back To Black. Please feel free to like this page if you have found these tweets engaging
