    Crews will work through the night clearing accumulation and treating icy patches on mainlanes, frontage roads, shoulders and ramps. Please use extreme caution as black ice may be present. Staying off the roads gives crews room to work safely and quickly.

    Shout-out to our @TxDOT crews in North #Texas! They've been working around the clock through several rounds of winter storms this week. They're still rotating in 12-hour shifts clearing slick spots on highways & will continue until it's all clear. #txwx #DFWTraffic

    These pictures from Denton County tell the story of our roadways. @TxDOT crews are removing accumulation as quickly and safely as possible, but we anticipate that driving conditions will continue to deteriorate as the next round of storms moves in our area. Stay home if possible.

    Crews are plowing roads and treating icy patches, but travel is still strongly discouraged. Bridges and overpasses are especially vulnerable. Although snow is slowing down in our area, the effects will be felt for days due to extremely low temperatures. Stay home if possible.

    We pretreated the roadways today to help prevent ice and snow from adhering to the roadway and to make it easier to clear. Pretreating will not stop accumulation on the roadway. Stay home tomorrow if possible.
