This morning at the Cenotaph, we paused with the nation to remember. In silence, we honoured those who gave their lives for peace and freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten and lives on through those who serve today. We will remember them.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa is truly terrible to see. I am grateful to @HMSTrent @RoyalNavy alongside other deployed @DefenceHQ personnel in vicinity of the Turks & Caicos Islands, ready to provide disaster relief.

.@HMSTrent has arrived in the vicinity of the Turks and Caicos Islands, prepared to assist with recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa. She is carrying disaster relief supplies and equipment, and has a Crisis Response Troop including @BritishArmy Royal Engineers embarked.
