As the only fully ROK-U.S. combined battalion and UNC unit permanently stationed in the DMZ, the UNCSB has stood watch since 1953, safeguarding the JSA, supporting dialogue between both sides, protecting the residents of TSD village, and upholding the Armistice Agreement.
