The @StateDept is taking steps to impose visa restrictions on members of Ethiopia’s Tigray People’s Liberation Front, as well as their immediate family members, for their involvement in undermining the resolution of the crisis in Tigray.
The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa will be closed on June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth. The Embassy will resume normal operations on June 22, 2026.
