The newly appointed Cabinet and State Ministers have begun an eight-day retreat, running from 15th to 23rd June 2026, organized by the Cabinet Secretariat.
.@R_Nabbanja: I pledge that we shall undertake real-time monitoring of Government programs and projects to ensure value for money and effective delivery of services as mandated by the Constitution.
According to @R_Nabbanja, this Kisanja will focus on deepening agro-industrialisation, strengthening industrial development, advancing science, technology and innovation, and ensuring that at least 30% of households are integrated into the money economy.

Rt. Hon. @R_Nabbanja: To accelerate Uganda's transition to an upper middle-income economy, we must aggressively implement the 2026-2031 NRM Manifesto, aligning it with the NDP and the Ten-Fold Growth Strategy.
Nakyobe: We must move beyond measuring success by budgets ans expenditure alone and instead focus on outcomes and impact. Every shilling spent must contribute towards improving lives of our citizens.
Nakyobe: They want quality schools for their children, reliable infrastructure, increased household incomes, decent jobs, improved service delivery and above all accountable leadership. (2/2)
Nakyobe: The theme of the retreat is "Leading Government with integrity, discipline, and results delivery for Uganda's attainment of upper middle-income status."
Nakyobe: It (the retreat) is intended to ensure that from the very beginning of your tenure you are equipped with knowledge, skills, values and network necessary to deliver results for the people of Uganda.
