- NC State portal transfer expected - Tre Holloman (6"2' PG- MichSt), Tyler Harris (6"8' G-Wash), Jarin Stevenson (6"11' F-Al), Mackenzie Mgbako (6"8' F-Indiana)
- Losing PJ Haggerty after a monthlong tease and instead getting Darrion Williams and Ven-Allen Lubin is the best series of events an NC State fan could have hoped for. Certainly a top recruiting haul nationally for Will Wade.
- For NC State - Expect PJ Haggerty and James Scott to commit soon.
- Derron Rippey Jr. re NC State "I’ve known [GM] Andrew Slater for a while. They want me to come in and be the guy. Everything is set up to be built around me if I were to commit there.”
- Consensus still seems to be that Mackenzie Mgbako (IN - 6'8" F) and Derrion Reid (al- 6'8" F) are likely for NC State. NC State still has 8 scholarships to fill for next years team and the official visit for Reid is in the next couple of days.
- Reports are that Washington transfer guard Tyler Harris (6’8″/190) has committed (verbally) to NC State. Not official yet, but inevitable.
- Jeff Goodman says Memphis transfer PJ Haggerty (6'3" G) will commit to either Ole Miss or NC State. He is now ranked as the #2 player in the transfer portal and would be an expensive get for Will Wade.

The 6’7, 22-year old Gambian wing plays for Baxi Manresa in the ACB Could be another interesting addition to CBB team as a ready to play pro, who was solid within his minutes in one of the toughest leagues in Europe - Derrion Reid was a 5-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. Entered the Portal with a “Do Not Contact” tag. First OV next week to NC State.
- Jarin Stevenson (AL PF) is NOT going to UNC per reports. NOT returning to Alabama. NC State bound?
- PJ Haggerty is still waiting for an NBA deal but will likely withdraw before deadline of May 28 and commit to NC State.
- PJ Haggerty (and his father) are playing NC State for more money. Will Wade may pass and attention now is on Rakeesh Passmore (6'5" SG, Kansas). This guy is explosive and may be a better fit. A top 30 recruit with massive upside!!
- Will Wade and Andrew Slater to NY to watch NC State targets Darius and Adonis Ratliff, and Jasiah Jervis.
