Can't make it up. Guy had iPad and cell phone attached by strings on steering wheel while driving! Yes, that's his ticket he's holding.

A passenger was seen littering so our member conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to be impaired with too many passengers in their vehicle. Vehicle was impounded, driver received a prohibition and tickets issued. You never know where a traffic stop will lead!

Tonights counter attack is dedicated to Olivia Malcom, a New Westminster resident who was killed just days before her 20th birthday in 2018. Please, if you consume drugs and/or alcohol - don’t drive. Take public transit, a taxi, ride share or have a designated driver #notonemore

This driver was surprised to learn that if you exceed the speed limit by more than 40 km/h your vehicle can be impounded. Even if your vehicle is a semi truck sleeper cab with a 53’ trailer attached. #expensivelesson

At 10 a.m. this morning, this driver was well over twice the legal limit. This is the second time in less than 2 yrs he is facing criminal charges for impaired driving. He was the only occupant in the vehicle and was uninjured.

I don’t know where to begin with this….extremely unsafe and bad decision making by the driver. They received a Box 1 Notice and Order and a tow.

This driver was over double the 50 kph speed limit in the 3000 E. Hastings around 3PM. Before you ask...we did not see the plate holder until they were stopped 😊 Fine and impoundment. #DriveSafe #NoNeedForSpeed #WeAreOutThere

As a pedestrian, check that each lane of traffic sees you and has stopped when crossing the road. As a driver, when one lane of traffic has stopped, slow down and proceed with caution. Traffic may have stopped for a reason. #ShareTheRoad

As a pedestrian, with the increase in dark and gloomy days, consider adding something reflective to increase your visibility. As a driver, you will see pedestrians when you really look for them. #ShareTheRoadBC @icbc

After 32 years of service we had to say “good bye, good luck and happy retirement” to Sgt. Anderson. He is a valued and a deeply respected member of our department and we are sad to see him leave. But we wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavours. Stay safe!

Same driver & same obstructed plate... today, he asked for a few days to take off the rack. Two months apparently wasn't enough time! $230 fine. #DriveSafe #WereOutThere @VancouverPD
