Researchers at Warwick now think more women are driven to suicide by their domestic abuse perpetrator than are murdered by him. Often the police don't make the link

In a week when 9 people died of knife crime in London, Amber Rudd announces a new law. You can't prosecute your way out of this. Try properly funding neighbourhood police, youth services, probation bring back EMAs, tackle poverty & unemployment, stop slashing in-work benefits

A UK First. Inquest jury finds that a domestic abuse victim, driven to suicide by coercive control, was unlawfully killed by the perpetrator. Now, we challenge CPS to bring a manslaughter prosecution. 1/3 of all UK female suicides follow domestic abuse

Judges have immunity but how is this secrecy in the public interest? If I were in the Family Court tomorrow to protect kids from a violent male, I'd want to know if it was the same judge.

Consider the Anthony Williams case; 5 yrs for strangling his wife because she annoyed him one day with Sally Challen 14 years for killing a man who cruelly persecuted her throughout her married life.

Awful report. Just 5% of police-recorded domestic abuse gets a conviction. Faith at an all-time low Domestic abuse victims 'failed' damning Commissioner's report says

Domestic abuse survivors, trying to rebuild their lives, can't ask for debt assistance without publishing their name & address, unless they buy a 'Person at Risk of Violence' Order: Price £318 Labour has just scrapped that charge, so survivors can save & stay safe simultaneously

Police Perpetrated Domestic Abuse should NOT Be investigated by the same force. Today's response to the Centre for Women's Justice super-complaint recommends going to another force where there may be a conflict of interest. In the same force there is ALWAYS a conflict of interest

Excellent! Serious sex offenders automatically lose parental rights over their own children by Govt amendment to the Victims & Courts Bill. Will protect 000s children & save 000s women from enforced negotiation with an abuser, about a child’s schooling/medical care/trips abroad

Bad news: CPS prosecuted 51% fewer rapes this year than in 2016/17 & convicted 41% fewer. Prosecuted 48% fewer DA cases this year than in 2016/17 & convicted 46% fewer Good news: None Surely someone in government will ultimately listen to women & ask why CPS are failing at VAWG

This is absolutely awful news. Helen transformed her own pain as a victim into a relentless drive to champion others. A remarkable & also a lovely woman. Victims' campaigner Baroness Newlove dies after 'short illness' age 63 mol.im/a/15284515 via @DailyMail
