What does wage theft look like?

Making employees work off the clock
One of the most common forms of wage theft happens when bosses ask staff to do tasks before or after they clock in for their shift. That could include cleaning work stations, counting cash, answering email, preparing coffee or setting up equipment.

    If you are a salaried worker (instead of being paid hourly) you may assume you aren’t eligible for overtime pay. A LOT of salaried workers are being cheated out of overtime by being misclassified. How can you tell? 1/
