I wasn’t expecting teleoperation to be such a profound experience - low latency makes the arm feel like an extension of yourself. It’s a trippy sensation and unbelievably cool.
a ton of smart people work on very difficult things that, regardless of their difficulty, are simply not profoundly impactful. this is a huge trap as difficultly provides a sense of accomplishment but not perusing literally the MOST important problems puts you at a loss. rant:

i turned 20 today! its important to me that i do all in my power to become the best version of myself. any important pointers to keep in mind over my next decade from those of you that are older/wiser than myself?
You can differentiate yourself either by becoming a specialist (0.1% of the population), or by compounding to the same level of uniqueness. ~5% of people build interesting projects, ~5% of those people take the time to make their work aesthetically pleasing, ~5% of those people
The next generation of robots will be expressive and able to interact with humans via our most fundamental communication channels (emotions/expressions).
