For clarity purposes ,my dad didn’t take up the case cus he was a human rights lawyer , he wanted to meet up with his compulsory number of pro bono cases for disadvantaged people and equally cases tried and finished in the appellate court…it was needed for his SAN application

My dad just went to the prison with his court orders and discharge order, he was released, you need to see the shock on his face that day, to him it felt like he was in a dream or some form of simulation that wasn’t real .

Without the convict knowing about it …. My dad discovered he travelled d day of the robbery , they traced the transport company and he was very fortunate that they still kept their travel manifest , another plot twist was about to happen when the case got to the appeal court

The Judge in the original trial was now an appeal court judge , he couldn’t believe the police were so careless with their investigation, the state prosecutors did a very poor job and he sentenced an innocent man to death , anyways the retrial didn’t last a month .

The convict didn’t know what was even going on cus he was from a very poor family and he already lost all hope of getting acquainted, he didn’t make any court appearances , the case was struck out and he was released immediately,He didn’t know he was going to be released that day

Yes, if you want to apply for SAN , you need at least 3 pro bono cases , this particular one fell into the category he needed … Appeal court appearance and pro bono , two birds with one stone
