00:00 - I have no words to describe the extraordinary absence of a ‘Footy Marathon’ on either Fox Footy or Channel 7. My kids were setting up camp for the night in the living room. It’s like abandoning Christmas Eve.
- My local Coles decides to put this apparatus on each trolley which requires a coin. Of course, so few people now use coins which makes this old idea totally ridiculous. And also, Coles discourages people to use cash at its self serve checkout. What a world we live in…
- I’ve repeatedly told my two boys not to hit the ball hard inside playing cricket in the living room. 8-year-old response: “James bowls too many length balls and has to be taught a lesson.” 5-year-old response: “I’m not hitting it hard, it’s just good timing.” I can’t argue.
- I still can’t believe we don’t know the AFL teams on a Thursday night. Surely six weeks is long enough for the AFL to realise it made a mistake by changing the deadline? It didn’t need changing and has had a genuine impact to the build-up and discussion to a weekend of football.
- Imagine being Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Cameron Green or Alex Carey having breakfast in Birmingham. Staring down the opportunity to become a special part of Ashes folklore today.
