What a Congress! It was amazing to see nearly 300 of our members in Cardiff at our biggest event in a decade with @LabourStudents 🌹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A statement on our future campaigning and canvassing. Young Labour will no longer campaign, organise or canvass for candidates, Cllrs or MPs who fail to stand by workers, do not respect picket lines and do not support trade unionists right to industrial action:

Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer, we’ll keep the red flag flying here.

It didn’t “unfold.” It was state-sanctioned massacre. You also sacked a Labour MP from the front bench for voting against the SpyCops Bill - which would prevent the prosecution of UK troops for war crimes.

Christian Wakeford MP should not be admitted to the Labour Party. He has consistently voted against the interests of working-class people; for the £20 universal credit cut, for the Nationality and Borders Bill and for the Police and Crime Bill. Young Labour does not welcome him.

Uh oh, looks like someone on the Tory social media team needs a history lesson- they were in Government in 1973 😂

While we accept difference in policy positions to the current leadership of our party, we are especially concerned in this instance to see Keir Starmer pushing not only for further engagement with NATO, but celebrating it while attacking Stop The War and other pro-peace activists

Thousands of young people were inspired to join & support our movement by @jeremycorbyn, in a world with few politicians like him. The removal of the whip despite the lifting of Jeremy's suspension is a betrayal of them & blatant factional interference in disciplinary matters.

Our statement on the leaked reports about the Governance and Legal Unit of the Labour Party is below. Complainants and whistleblowers must be protected, the serious allegations must be investigated by the NEC and the Labour whip should be removed from Ian McNicol immediately.

We were appalled to see some elected Labour representatives crossing the UCU picket line and earlier this week others made disgraceful comments regarding RMT striking workers. This lack of solidarity has no place in our movement.

Trade unions are the bedrock of the labour movement and are at the forefront of defending workers rights against corrupt bosses and Tory governments which have harmed the lives of millions of workers.

We will instead direct our energy, our members and events towards contributing to the election of those Labour candidates who explicitly stand by trade unions, respect picket lines and who will unwaveringly represent workers interests in elected office. In solidarity.
