It’s finally here. @Delta’s free Wi-Fi offering begins on Feb. 1! “There is no fine print… we have invested over a $1B to create this,” says Delta CEO Ed Bastian at CES. About 80% of domestic system will be free Wi-Fi enabled to start. And no device limits, too!

lol at this lineup of takeoffs waiting to leave Newark, which is currently experiencing average delays of…. 3 hours and 45 minutes. Even if your flight isn’t cancelled, good luck getting to your destination on time.

The party didn't stop once we deplaned. There was an elaborate arrival celebration, where passengers enjoyed some light bites, picked up their commemorative T-shirts and chatted with one another. Astronaut Scott Kelly even made an appearance at the after-party. (10/11)

Nearly everyone knew what they were getting themselves into, except for the 6 pax who had no idea they had booked a special eclipse flight. One pax traveled from AMS for the occasion. Another waited until this flight to propose to his longtime girlfriend. (She said yes.) (4/11)

On my way home, I overheard a passenger say, "Next time, let's do it from the ground." While the Delta flight was no doubt a highlight for this aviation enthusiast, I wholeheartedly agree. When 2044 comes around, you'll find me watching the eclipse from terra firma. (the end)

The party continued once on board. Passengers exchanged eclipse stories, the pilots handed out commemorative trading cards, and people "ooh"-ed and "aah"-ed as they got to their seats to find fully stocked swag bags with treats, gear and eclipse glasses. (5/11)

Woah: @AlaskaAir has a bold new livery — and I actually like it, which is rare for me with new liveries. It’s designed to resemble the Northern Lights, and it’ll debut in January. Chester & Pualani aren’t going anywhere. This new livery is just for Dreamliners (for now…)
