This week marks 100 years since Ayn Rand immigrated to America. To commemorate it, @brandonmlisi and I did something that's never been done before: We're telling Rand's story focusing on her immigration journey and life as a newcomer in America.

Milei got this right: 1. Capitalism isn’t a “necessary evil.” We’re not “stuck” with capitalism because there’s no better alternative. Capitalism is the only system compatible with human flourishing. 2. Capitalism isn’t moral because it works, it works because it’s moral.

I was born and raised in Argentina. Lived there until late 2017. I NEVER thought I’d see the day Argentina elected a pro-free market president. But it happened two years ago. Then I never thought I’d see the Kirchnerists being utterly humiliated at the ballot box. That is

It’s official: With +90% of votes already counted, Milei’s party La Libertad Avanza has been the most voted party nationwide. Deputies: 40.84% of votes. LLA won 64 Deputies. (In the photo, LLA-s color is purple). MASSIVE win for Milei! 🇦🇷

If 3 years ago you had told me that PRO FREE MARKET president of ARGENTINA would be telling NEW YORKERS they can go to Argentina to seek refuge from SOCIALISM, I would’ve told you to stop doing drugs. Goes to show things can change very quickly— for better or worse.

Javier Milei invites New Yorkers to immigrate to Argentina "Now you will live under a communist government. Know that, if things get complicated, you will always be well received in [Argentina] if you seek prosperity"

Javier Milei’s party lost the legislative elections in Buenos Aires. He said: “We’re facing a clear defeat. . . To move forward, the first thing to do is to accept the results” and added that “going forward, we’ll correct our mistakes.” He didn’t claim the elections were

I became a U.S. Citizen last week 🇺🇸✨ I wish native-born Americans got to experience what it’s like to choose this country and become naturalized. It’s an indescribable feeling. My first week as an American has been a dream👇
Me wrapped in an American flag standing in front of the federal building where I took my naturalization oath.

This might be the WORST election for the Peronists IN HISTORY. Oh, my heart. If my grandpa were alive he’d be popping champagne.

This is part of what @JMilei has done right. He didn’t just arbitrarily and mindlessly start deregulating and gutting government agencies. He prioritized and gave a lot of thought of what key areas to deregulate. He didn’t just tell people that freedom works. He *showed* them.

Javier Milei has proven why it's critical to maintain stability in transition toward a free market. If you curb inflation, protect the productive, and deregulate, more people will open up to free market economics because their lives will have be significantly improved.

Once, in New York, Ayn Rand was speaking to a crowd on the street. A heckler yelled: "Who are you to talk about America? You're a foreigner!" She turned to him and answered: "That's right. I chose to be an American. What did you do, besides having been born?"

Milei is known for his chainsaw, but he’s used more of a scalpel to scale back Argentina’s regulations. This is something he's done really well: He didn’t randomly start cutting programs and regulations overnight. He did it thoughtfully to cause as little disruption as possible.

In 1962, Ayn Rand was asked what she would do if she were president. Her answer: deregulate, but rationally. “If anyone were to repeal all controls overnight, by legislative fiat, that would be a disastrous, arbitrary, dictatorial action.” Full answer👇
If you were elected president of the United States tomorrow, what changes would you institute?
This is the last thing I'd attempt or advise anyone to try. But to the hypothetical question "What would I advocate if my advice were immediately put into effect?," I'd answer: Start decontrolling the economy as fast as rational economic considerations permit. I speak of "rational economic considerations" because today, every part of the population is dependent on government controls. Most professions have to function under controls, and their activities are calculated on that basis. So if anyone were to repeal all controls overnight, by legislative fiat, that would be a disastrous, arbitrary, dictatorial action. What a free country needs is to give all the peo ple concerned sufficient notice to readjust and reorganize their economic activities. Therefore, after working out with economists the kind of program necessary to decontrol the country, and what controls should be repealed first, I wo

the antitrust laws. These have contributed the most to the destruction of free enterprise. And the first antitrust laws to go-and they should go overnight-are the jail penalty provisions. Stop sending men to jail for undefined offenses that they have no way of avoid-ing. Once you remove the cancer of antitrust legislation, the others become easier to remove. Once you free the most essential and productive group of our society—namely, the businessmen—many of our economic problems will vanish. One would probably have to combine such decontrol with a tax-reduction law, otherwise you would be leaving society in an unbalanced condition: large companies have an advantage over competitors who never had a chance to rise because their earnings were undercut by taxes to such an extent that they could not compete with big companies who were established before today's tax rates went into effect. (I say this tentatively.) [APM 62]

48 hours ago, on July 3, 2025, I became an American citizen 🇺🇸 I’ve felt like an American in my heart and mind since I was a little girl. America reached me well before I reached its shores. I will always fight to defend the founding principles of this country— my country. 🇺🇸
