High-level points below.
Wrote up my takeaways on the new DynamoDB paper from AWS.
Really interesting stuff in there, both from a technical perspective and a user needs perspective. Great supplement to the 2007 Dynamo Paper.
When I hear someone say “Serverless development is too hard!”, 96.2% of the time it’s because they’re deploying with:
- Raw CloudFormation and bash scripts
- AWS CLI + bash scripts
- AWS console
Don’t do this! Use a deployment tool! There are so many — pick one at random.
*deep breath*
Just sent the email to officially announce that The DynamoDB Book will be released April 7th (one week from today!) 💥
I'll be updating the landing page with packaging, etc. over the next few days but sign up for updates here -->
