- moms saying the most soul shattering things to make us insecure right before we go out with the girls is a defining arc of being a daughter
- that PhD professor begging for food. The kid crying after hot food spilled on him at a camp and he got burnt. The little toddler standing in someone's doorway saying "I want bread". Allah please forgive us for how we failed Palestine.
- 12 y/o me wanted something bad to happen to myself so family would finally care, 23 y/o me went through those bad things and saw my family blaming me for them. My heart closed a door forever that day.
- Muslim men's obsession with virgin wives needs to be studied, because as far as I remember Islam and Sunnah encourages marrying widows and divorcees. But then again, you never really did care about Islam, did you?
- I always knew that adulthood is isolating but I never knew it would be isolating even in the presence of your loved ones
- currently arguing w a two year old because he just showered and wants to be dried in the washing machine. this is not what I signed up for.
- gentle parenting isn't for desi kids. told these two rascals to do deep breathing bec they were angry and fighting each other, now they're fighting over who does better deep breathing ?????

- There's this aunt in my family, when she meets anyone she doesn't ask about their job, studies or marital status, she just asks "Bete khush ho?" Such an important question.
