One of the wildest experiences was moving from the states to Tel Aviv and getting a “how to work with Americans 101” training at work. The instructor explained that Americans learn “show and tell” in elementary school to solidify the skill set of presenting irrelevant things.

Why are Americans, on average, so incredibly good at presenting/selling/ (you could uncharitably call it) BS-ing? Is it something about early/middle/high school education? Culture? Parents teaching their kids?
