The occupation court just decided: My community will be destroyed. I live in Massafer Yatta, Palestine. An unjust 23 year long trial ended today with a verdict of mass eviction. The army can now place us on trucks, 2,400 people, and expel us from our ancient villages, one by one.

This morning, one day after i came back from the Oscar’s a masked group of Israeli settlers stormed my neighbours home, assaulted the family members, sprayed pepper spray in their eyes, and smashed activists’ phones.another group of settlers attacked another family in the area.

Hamdan has been released and is currently in the hospital in Hebron receiving treatment. He was beaten by soldiers and settlers all over his body. The soldiers left him blindfolded and handcuffed throughout of military base last night.

I'm standing with Karam, Hamdan's 7 year old son, near the blood of Hamdan's in his house, after settlers lynched him. Hamdan, co-director of our film No Other Land, is still missing after soldiers abducted him, injured and bleeding. This is how they erase Masafer Yatta.

The girl in pink is my sister Tasnim. She’s 10. Today she went with our sheep when the army stormed my village in Masafer Yatta. Soldiers stopped her, and arrested two women for herding flock on their land, which they decided to make a “closed military area”. >>

They refused to support Hamdan just because he is Palestinian. Another sign that our lives don’t matter.

Sadly, the US Academy, which awarded us an Oscar three weeks ago, declined to publicly support Hamdan Ballal while he was beaten and tortured by Israeli soldiers and settlers. The European Academy voiced support, as did countless other award groups and festivals. Several US

Anyone who cared about No Other Land should care about what is actually happening on the ground: today our water tanks, 9 homes and 3 ancient caves were destroyed. Masafer Yatta is disappearing in front of my eyes. Only one name for these actions: ethnic cleansing.

I’m surrounded now by armed and masked settlers, who are leading a terror attack on Masafer Yatta as I write. Dozens of settlers arrived to friend Naser’s house in Susya, throwing stones at his home, smashing his vehicle, and slashing tires with knive.

NOW, 2 days after No Other Land was nominated for an Oscar, settlers are invading my community, Masafer Yatta, burning and breaking homes. I'm honored for the nom but we're being erased while Trump lifted US settler sanctions. Do people in Hollywood care? Please don't be silent.

Right now, Israeli occupation soldiers are forcibly evicting families from their homes in Khalet al-Duqayqa / Masafer Yatta in preparation for demolition. Four large bulldozers are destroying homes — this is happening as part of a campaign of ethnic cleansing.
