World Aquatics, the governing body over swimming updated their policy in the months following Thomas' race to exclude swimmers like Thomas, citing (un)fairness. She's right. It was unfair.

When athletes from @Penn raised concerns about fairness re: Lia Thomas, they were threatened with removal from the team & being made unemployable. Compare their anonymous statement to FINA's experts' statement - they express the same concerns. These women are owed an apology.

The bill is not a ban. It requires athletes to compete in the category associated with their sex. Competing according to sex is the only way to guarantee equality of the sexes in 🥇🥈🥉. By opposing this bill, you are opposing the level playing field for women & girls.

“Norwich trans woman had indecent images of children” This is a man. Obfuscatory language should not be used in the context of child sexual safety. The vast majority of those who are convicted of possessing child porn are male (>99% in some cohorts).
