Here we go. My first #medtwitter#tweetorial. A subject near and dear to my heart. Venous air embolism.
If I have an IV line and someone injects air into it, how much will it take to kill me?

One of my coworkers died today from #COVID19. Not much older, great guy. We were just sitting together a couple weeks ago, talking about whatever. The next time I saw him, he was admitted to the ICU. And that was the last time I saw him.
My whole body feels numb. š
Still very raw, but this is my friend who passed, Warren Bates. He leaves behind a family including 2 young daughters.

Thank you. ā„ļøš
I was just talking with one of the senior ICU nurses. About the feelings of hopelessness and despair permeating the ICU. Everyone's sleep has been terrible. Bad dreams all around. I started crying in full PPE (was about to start a procedure).
Hope everyone else doing okay. āā„ļø

Yes, I'm an interventional radiology attending. And yes, this really is my dinner most nights. Paired with a glass of NYC's finest tap water. š¤·š»āāļø

Taking time off for mental health reasons isn't any different than taking time off for a burst appendix or shattered femur. I'm mildly annoyed there's even a debate about this.
