Day 1 of AOC 22 Group handover. Whole day focused on aircraft safety elements (Hawk T2, Texan, Tutor, Prefect, Phenom, Viking (and Robin), Juno and Jupiter). What a fantastically broad spectrum of capability all extremely well led and managed. Looking forward to this…

6 FTS and our fantastic Air Experience Flights across the UK have been given permission by AOC22 Gp @cabster3560 to return to cadet flying. 7AEF tried today but we were beaten by the wind. Can’t wait to see cadets flying with us once again. @RoyalAirForce @ComdtAC @ComdtCranwell

So, Baron Jean de Selys Longchamps. On 20/1/43 he sent his wingman home then flew his Typhoon to Brussels to launch a rogue solo attack on the Gestapo HQ to avenge his father’s death before dropping mini Belgian flags on the city. Demoted on his return, he was then given the DFC!

I was pleased to review the Tutor display today and finalised the display approval for 2023. Well flown PDA by Gibbo in windy conditions and look out for the youthful commentary from ‘Ozzy’! Good luck for the season where you will reach an audience of over 400000!
