If you are painting with a warm palette, the closer you get to grey is the closer you'll get to cold colors. On the flipside, if you're using a cold palette, the opposite is true. This is how I get dynamic colors while still maintaining the same warm or cool tone of the painting - Finished this painting!!! I already shared it online but did a bit of more changes and here is the final result.
