"albums" are no longer even in Spotify's top-level interface; the software is honestly ruining my experience of music. What comes after this are rows of recommended podcast episodes and algorithmically generated playlists. Time to switch to Apple

we were at Dupont farmers market when the news dropped. A chorus of phone alerts pierced the air and then I got caught in a stampede of people running back to their rowhouses. All that was left in the street were abandoned tote bags full of fresh peaches spilling out... tragic

this is the attitude of the tech industry toward culture — it's just content, the artistic intention does not matter at all. So ridiculous especially when considering a decades-old album that was made intentionally as an album and should be experienced as such

Albums are an anachronism. Why not organize music by “studios” or “foods bass player liked at the time”? People don’t listen to albums. They listen to songs. Those can be organized any which way.
