I’m so thrilled to announce I’ll be joining @KFFHealthNews as a CA correspondent covering health policy and politics next month. What a dream to work with @youngsamantha @ByJudyLin @ahartreports and a whole team of mission-driven professionals doing thoughtful, impactful work.

Someone appears to have set fire to an *official* @LACountyRRCC ballot drop box in Baldwin Park over the weekend. It's being investigated as arson and county officials are increasing ballot pickups at all county locations, effective immediately.

Today is my last day at the @latimes, the only newsroom I've ever known as a working journalist. I'm so grateful for the opportunities I've had here, the stories I've been able to tell and the kind and inspiring colleagues I've met along the way.

Reminder that there is no write-in option for the general election in California. The GOP cannot run another candidate, and the only way Hunter's name gets removed from the ballot is by court order.

The election is in 76 days. Republicans said this is the only thing they were worried about happening in this race

A privilege to witness this historic moment. @latguild has reached a tentative contract agreement w/ @latimes management after 15 months of negotiations. Big high fives to our heroic bargaining committee & the membership that stood strong behind them ✊🦅💪latimes.com/california/sto…

.@YoungKimCD39 rallies with @TheRealJohnHCox in Rowland Heights. "Can you imagine Gavin Newsom being our governor? Can you imagine Gil Cisneros being your representative? I don't think so."

NEW: @RepKatieHill, a swing district freshman who is part of leadership, says if Congress confirms new allegations, she'll vote to impeach President Trump (not just supporting an inquiry here). Strongest stance of any CA freshman so far. #CA25

Sad to say I was among those laid off by @WSJ yesterday. It was a dream working with such smart, talented, and fearless journalists covering a state I love.

There's a special election today in San Francisco that's become something of a referendum on the YIMBY movement. The central issue? Which candidate wants to build more housing.
