    Virginia Beach, August 3rd, 2000. Sonic Youth opened. Drove 18 hours to get there. I remember being extremely excited but also wondering how they’d be because it was the first show after Roskilde. They opened with Long Road, then cranked into Corduroy. Phenomenal night.
