    I hosted a graduation meeting today w/ senior officers from all 8 high schools. We discussed all options & they gave great input. We’ll keep working together to plan the best graduation ceremonies possible under these conditions. I’m so proud of our seniors! #2020Seniors #TeamDCS

    Congratulations to DCHS alumnus Austin Riley! From a high school state championship in 2015 to a World Series title in 2021, we are all so proud of all that you have accomplished. The world has met a great baseball player and an outstanding young man! @austinriley1308

    Pending state board approval this week, DeSoto County Schools will be an A-ranked school district. Only 9 districts in MS have achieved this honor the last 4 years in a row. Congratulations to our students, teachers, administrators, staff & parents! It is a team effort! #TeamDCS

    Congratulations to the Horn Lake High School football team on winning the 6A Mississippi state championship!! They defeated Oak Grove tonight 31-27. It was an unbelievable game!! Go Eagles!! #RaiseTheBar #TeamDCS

    In 2018, Nakobe Dean helped Horn Lake HS win a football state title, and last night he helped the Univ. of Georgia win a national title. Nakobe is an outstanding young man on & off the field and a great representative for HLHS & DeSoto County Schools. Congratulations @NakobeDean!

    I want to thank all of our employees for all of the hard work this week. From serving lunches to online teacher collaboration to big plans for the upcoming weeks, our employees are an inspiration. We will all keep working together for our students!This is truly a #TeamDCS effort!

    I have declared a State of Emergency for school districts affected by this week's winter weather. The State Board of Education retains authority to decide if schools will make up any days missed.
