Einstein didn’t go into physics because he wanted to be the next Newton.

It must be hard, going into physics thinking you’re the next Einstein and discovering you’re the next nobody.

I have a feeling the 28th and 29th will go down in the history books in an unexpectedly wild way for the foundations of physics. Buckle up, we’re going for one helluva ride :)

For those of you who complain that I'm posting too much about ”politics” and should stick to science and physics you’re free to unfollow. I refuse to normalize what's happening.

when o3 makes trivial errors like claiming two terms cancel when they clearly don’t it becomes apparent the model doesn’t actually understand anything. these models aren’t remotely close to agi. they’re latent space search engines.

When I left physics for a career as a quant on Wall Street it became clear after a couple years that the loudest most uncouth traders have perfected the art of confident incompetence and built their career on luck.
