RIP Ron Priest. He flew 25 operations as a rear gunner with 149 Squadron from RAF Lakenheath - all on Stirlings. He was interviewed for the @IntBCC in 2016 ibccdigitalarchive.lincoln.ac.uk/omeka/items/sh…

RIP Gordon 'Titch' Mercier, a Halifax mid-upper gunner with 51 & 78 Squadrons. Sadly, Gordon died yesterday, 21st of January, one day short of his 99th birthday. @IntBCC

History should always be open for debate and new interpretations - so facts depend on who you ask and when you ask them. As for standards - that's where historical method and use of sources come in.

We have something very similar projected on a 7m screen at the @IntBCC in Lincoln. It runs for around 10 minutes and shows Luftwaffe bombing and V weapons too...

Ernest Cutts (RAAF) flew on 34 operations as a rear gunner with 466 Squadron from RAF Driffield, flying Halifaxes. #OTD 4th Feb 1945. #History #WW2. There's a wizard interview with him in the @IntBCC Digital Archive.
