- Jump jockeys are renowned for their bravery. Bryony Frost just might be the bravest of the lot.
- Crowning Jonbon as Jumps horse of the year as a Willie Mullins runner has just jogged past him on the bridle really couldn't be a more fitting microcosm for the state of British jumps racing right now.
- Lots saying that Galopin des Champs clearly didn't look happy, wasn't his usual self. Yet if Cromwell doesn't roll the big dice last week, he's a 12l winner and we're all hammering the 'all-time great' line. Funny game.
- Trump now joins Kauto Star as the only other previous winner to regain their crown in the big one.
- Jonbon is basically a Volvo. He'll keep going with ruthless efficiency for about 200k miles, but will never get the attention of his Lamborghini stablemate that has had to call out the AA a few times.
