Gas is expensive right now, and we know that hits many @Lyft drivers pretty directly. So starting Friday, we’re offering 60 days of stacked rewards for gas and more through Lyft Direct and Upside - every tier gets something. Details ⬇️

Big fan of this partnership, co-funded by @Tesla / @tesla_na and @lyft. I know there are a lot of feelings about Tesla and their CEO. I also know from personal experience that Teslas, and EVs in general, are great options for rideshare riders and drivers. We want to make EVs
If you're driving for Lyft, this is for you Receive $1,000 in Tesla Credits upon taking delivery of any new S3XY or @cybertruck Also, a $1,000 incentive from Lyft after completing 100 trips through July 13 → tesla.com/lyft

A beautiful question with a clear answer. It's 6. Satisfying amount of resistance on the paper, works on matte and glossy surfaces, gives your signature the proper amount of gravitas. Ahhhh!

You're right. The initial response was awful. Since then, we've done a lot behind the scenes, but I know we haven't communicated enough. We're very focused on this and will keep the community up to date.

Occam's razor says: The simplest explanation is most likely to be correct. Here's a way to use it to explain @elonmusk's recent apparent lurch to the right. 🧵 (cc: @karaswisher, @nayeema, @profgalloway, @fmanjoo, @kevinroose and others who've also tried to figure this out.)

Reading with Mama Sarah at her home and community library was a high point of my life. All of us @worldreaders mourn her passing and celebrate her contribution to readers everywhere.

Too reductive? Too charitable? Maybe. But maybe also helpful... or at least I hope so! /End

Who loves @Teslas? Stereotypically: latte-sipping, @NPR-listening, coastal-living libs. But that's not enough. So what's the strategy? Make yourself (and your brand) appealing to a more socially conservative crowd.

No doubt @elonmusk is also genuinely annoyed with CA's policies, @JoeBiden's slights, and a sense that "wokeness" has gone too far. But I bet that explains 20% of it. 80% is about Tesla and Attention, amped up and made nutty by pressure.

This becomes even more important as @Tesla Cybertruck and Semi come on-line. If you're only appealing to the @VolvoCarUSA crowd, those products are DOA. (This is a problem that @Ford does not have with their Ford 150 Lightening.)

@elonmusk *really* cares about 2 things: Climate Change and Attention. The 1st is an existential threat; the 2d is a steroid that force-multiplies all other efforts. (He often says, e.g., "@Tesla doesn't spend money on marketing." But that's 'cause he's an attention-grabber.)

As for Attention, it's super-clear that going right is an viral attention-grabber. Trump made that obvious, but it's been the case forever. Look at talk radio. "Liberal talk radio" just isn't a thing the way @unfilteredonfox-style conservative talk radio is.
