Are NFTs back? I’m not interested in a 6-18 month pump in prices. I’m here for the multi decade supercycle of self custodial sovereign digital objects powered by credibly neutral blockchains. The problem is that’s just a bunch of buzzwords that only those of us still here

Why do I buy NFTs if I think most of them won't outperform eth? Isn't it more rational to stay in ETH? It's not about financial outperformance. It's nice if/when it happens. But I buy because: - It's a piece that speaks to me - It's fun - It fills a hole in the collection I

Excited to finally acquire a Botto Genesis, Communicate Displace. I consider Botto to be the first notable “living” ai artist. It’s constantly evolving through a complex feedback loop involving the voters, collectors and the Botto DAO, resulting in a new piece every week.

Crypto art culture is counterculture. It challenges norms and the established order. Crypto degens seeking validation from trad art institutions are like btc maxis seeking validation from central banks. We don’t need validation - we are the validation.

Shaping up nicely. Missing 2 more artists that I'm working on, and then it might be time to retire the ENS. The most comprehensive early AI art collection is UnderTheGAN, and it cannot be beat. But I'll be happy with something in the top 5.

ETH as money (and the fat protocol thesis) is dead. BTC wins that game. Non-BTC L1 monetary premium exists but compresses drastically. Ironically, this is good for NFTs. If you're an ETH maxi, high tier NFTs are a better SOV than ETH itself. 1 ETH != 1 ETH. Contd.

Last month, I was lucky enough to win the Sotheby's auction for one of Pindar's Emerging Faces. I just received the physical, and what a month it has been for Pindar in the meantime. This GAN based series from 2017 is the start of when his robots could paint with no human input.
