Being an Indian American, I grew up under the sanctions put by Clinton on India due to testing its nuclear bomb... you wat happened the economy grew even faster, there was a huge nationalistic fevor among the Indians along with the height of Anti-Americanism..

But that started affecting the bottom line of American Corporates ( IBM, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Dell) as they were loosing tons of profits due to the sanctions and ultimately US had to recognize India's Nuclear stature, remove sanctions and start doing business again..
