- Major congrats on the forum.ghost.org community! We wholeheartedly agree with your conclusions. Chat is great for focused, ephemeral discussions. For large-scale communities the truly asynchronous forum model scales better and is not dependent on compatible timezones.After 4 years of running a (11,000 member) public Slack community for @TryGhost — today we’ve decided to shut the whole thing down for good.
