Last night, we pulled off the comeback of our lesbian speed dating event. In just a few hours, 20 women came together for a fantastic celebration. We mingled, we laughed, and we danced well into the wee hours! Together, we affirm OUR lesbian spaces. Cancelled? Not our style.

Love won! The UK's largest pub chain has decided that my lesbian speed-dating event can continue! This is a massive win for the legitimacy of women-only lesbian events & demonstrates that lobby groups' guidance to ban such events exposes businesses to legal challenge.

@HJoyceGender I’m Jenny from the article. Thank you so much for posting this. What the article doesn’t mention is that the venue has cancelled my events after 4.5 years of using their venue. All because I’ve announced that men are not permitted to attend these lesbian events…

No arrests. No prisoners. Just lesbians. We were told we might face dispersal and arrest. For what? Drinks on the grass like everyone else. Male officers circled and watched. But 50 women showed up. Southwark failed to silence us. We’re not backing down. See you next week.

Let’s put it a bit differently: men identifying as lesbians are deemed real lesbians, while actual lesbians are not considered genuine lesbians unless they engage in sexual encounters with men identifying as lesbians. What a nice reversal in perspective. We call that homophobia.
