While effective overall, we identified several areas for improvement, including remediating open public health recommendations and maintaining a better inventory of backcountry pit privies.Read our full report for more: doioig.gov/reports/audit/… - The IIJA established the orphaned well program to plug, remediate, and restore abandoned wells.For this audit, we looked at how Texas expended its initial round of IIJA grant funds and found that it had been done properly and fulfilled program goals in accordance with applicable laws, Federal regulations, and grant terms.
