    Pat McCann was factually incorrect to claim this morning that elective sterilisations and terminations are currently done at St Vincent's St Vincent's do sterilisations when they are "clinically required" but "not for the exclusive purpose of sterilisation" This is serious 🧵

    The nuns are gone from the schools too, Simon We all know the ageing nuns and priests have gone from the classrooms and hospitals But Catholic control lives on in 90% of primary schools and in the Mater, Bon Secours, Mercy Hospitals, SVHG So naive🧵

    #RTEInvestigates Shocking and harrowing A short thread To think that in 2016 the Minister for Health agreed to the Mulvey Report that the new National Maternity Hospital would be given 100% to the Sisters of Charity. And btw the Sisters still own St Vincent's Healthcare Group...
